Court
Cottage is a 19th century detached stone built cottage,
situated on the owners working farm.
The
cottage has been tastefully filled with homemade quilts and
handcrafted items to give it that “home from home” feeling. The
accommodation has 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 doubles and 2 singles, plus
cot.
The
living room has a TV/video and DVD player and log effect wood burner.
The dining room comfortably seats six.
The
well-equipped kitchen has an oil Raeburn which runs the central
heating and can be used for cooking. Alternatively there is an
electric cooker if you prefer. There is also a washing machine and
dishwasher.
The
utility room off the kitchen has a fridge freezer and tumble dryer.
The cottage has a downstairs toilet as well as a large bathroom on
the first floor with a walk in shower, separate bath and airing
cupboard.
On
the landing is a small settee for those quiet moments to sit and
read.
The
enclosed, large, well-stocked garden has a picnic table and a
barbeque ready for use. There is parking available for 3 cars. Walton
is the first village in Wales as you travel along the A44.
Adjacent to the cottage is The Crown Inn providing a warm welcome
for all of its visitors with a good selection on the menu, or if you
prefer a walk up the hill to the hamlet of Old Radnor where The Harp
Inn offers one of the most stunning views over the beautiful Radnor
Valley. It also provides an excellent and ever changing menu.
There
is so much to do and see here in this very much undiscovered part of
Mid Wales. The Offa’s Dyke is a stones throw away and the beautiful
Radnor Forest which is great for walking or cycling. Even closer to
hand are the Navages and Worzell Wood, with its circular walk (not
for the faint hearted as it is very steep) a site to behold at
bluebell time.
The
cottage is strictly NO SMOKING; also no pets are allowed, sorry.
